For musicians
Sell your music directly to fans on Kashlei
Turn a release announcement into a direct fan relationship. Kashlei gives independent musicians a place to share their story, connect with listeners and offer eligible music and merchandise through an on-platform store.
Bring the artist and the music together.
A song is more than a file in a catalog. Share the story behind your writing, introduce a new release and keep fans connected to the artist behind it. Your profile and store give listeners a consistent destination.
Offer songs, releases and merchandise.
Use eligible music listings for tracks and releases, with clear descriptions and cover art. Physical merchandise can sit alongside your creative work, subject to the relevant selling requirements.
Keep previews separate from purchased originals.
Protected digital delivery checks the buyer’s purchase entitlement before providing access to the original. Public previews and purchased files serve different purposes; do not put the paid original into an unrestricted preview.
Understand direct sales and distribution.
CD Baby distributes music to streaming and download services, including Amazon. Kashlei’s direct-to-fan storefront serves a different purpose: connecting a social audience with purchases on Kashlei. You can use a distributor and a direct store together.
Compare fees honestly.
Kashlei’s current digital creator platform fee is 10%; physical goods and services use 5%. CD Baby currently publishes a 9% digital distribution commission plus its release setup pricing. Kashlei is not claiming to undercut that distribution rate. Compare the services, fee bases and additional costs, not just the headline percentage.
Build the relationship beyond one sale.
Share updates, answer questions through Messenger and give fans a reason to return to your profile. Sales depend on your work, pricing and audience; no platform can promise earnings.
