1. What these terms cover

These terms are an agreement between you and Neon Sky Group, the owner of Kashlei™. They cover this announcement site at kashlei.com and the pre-launch process for applying for a Kashlei handle or an invitation.

They do not cover the Kashlei platform itself. Kashlei is in private beta and has not launched. When it opens, it will have its own terms, which you will be asked to accept separately. Using this site does not create a Kashlei account.

2. Who may apply

You must be at least 16, or the minimum age required where you live if that is higher. If you apply on behalf of a company, organisation or another person, you confirm you are authorised to do so and that they accept these terms.

Everything you submit must be accurate. Applications containing false, misleading or impersonating information will be rejected and may be permanently barred.

3. Handle reservation

This section is the Handle Reservation Policy referred to on the application form.

An application is not a grant

Submitting an application does not reserve a handle, does not assign it to you, and does not create any right to it. It records your interest and places it in a review queue. No handle is yours until Neon Sky Group confirms it to you in writing.

How handles are compared

Handles are normalised before comparison, so capitalisation and a leading @ are ignored. Google, google, @Google and @google are the same handle. Handles are unique and are 3 to 30 characters using letters, numbers and underscores.

Availability is provisional

An availability result shown on this site reflects a moment in time and may change before your application is reviewed. Where two or more people apply for the same handle, only one application can succeed, and being first to apply does not by itself decide the outcome.

Protected and restricted handles

Some handles are held back and are not open to general application. These include names of companies, brands, public institutions, government bodies, media and sports organisations, public figures, cities and countries, Kashlei and Neon Sky Group system names, and terms that would be misleading. Where a handle is unavailable we will not disclose who, if anyone, holds it.

Review, expiry and withdrawal

We may approve, decline, defer or withdraw an application, ask for more information, set a period within which a confirmed handle must be claimed, and reclaim handles that are unclaimed after that period, obtained through false information, used to impersonate, or held purely to resell. We aim to be fair and consistent, and a decision can be appealed by replying to the correspondence about it.

4. Trademarks and brands

This section is the Trademark and Brand Policy referred to on the application form.

If you own rights in a name and want the matching handle, tell us in your application or write to support@kashlei.com. We will normally ask for the legal owner's name, the mark, the registration number and the office or jurisdiction that issued it, evidence of your authority to act, and business contact details.

Claims are reviewed by a person. A handle is never transferred automatically because someone has submitted a claim. We consider ownership, authority, the risk of impersonation and any competing rights, and we keep a record of the decision. Where rights genuinely conflict, we may decline to assign a handle to either party rather than pick a side.

Neon Sky Group is not a court and does not decide who owns a trademark. Our decisions affect only whether a handle is assigned on Kashlei.

5. Things you must not do

• Impersonate a person, business or organisation, or imply an endorsement you do not have.
• Apply for handles in bulk, or to resell, or to block someone else from using one.
• Submit applications by bot, script or automated means.
• Submit false, altered or stolen documents or contact details.
• Interfere with, probe or attempt to disrupt this site or the reservation process.

6. Our brand

Kashlei™, Kashpay™, KashMP™, the Kashlei logo, the tagline Connect • Share • Inspire, and the Neon Sky Group name and logo belong to Neon Sky Group. Nothing on this site gives you a licence to use them. Being assigned a handle does not give you rights in anyone else's trademark.

7. Availability and changes

This is a pre-launch site and is provided as is. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error free, and we may change, suspend or withdraw the reservation process, or these terms, at any time. If we change these terms in a way that materially affects people who have already applied, we will tell them by email. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.

8. Liability

To the extent the law allows, Neon Sky Group is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, goodwill or opportunity, arising from this site or from a handle being unavailable, declined, delayed or withdrawn. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Information you submit is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
