About Udhampur

Udhampur is a city and a municipal council in Udhampur district in the Indian union territory of Jammu and Kashmir in the disputed Kashmir region.It is the headquarters of Udhampur District. Named after Raja Udham Singh, it serves as the district capital and the Northern Command headquarters of the Indian Army. A Forward Base Support Unit (FBSU) of the Indian Air Force is also stationed here. Udhampur is used by the Armed Forces as a transit point between Jammu and Srinagar when travelling by road on National Highway 1A, which has since been renamed as National Highway 44.

When do I pay?

You pay the full amount when you book, through Stripe Checkout. The total is the hotel's nightly prices for your rooms plus every tax and fee the hotel lists, plus the Kashlei fee of $9.99 per room per night (never taxed). You see every line before you pay, and nothing is collected at the property.

Is my room held while I pay?

Yes. When you start checkout the rooms are held for about 31 minutes. Your booking is confirmed only after Stripe confirms the payment; if checkout expires, the rooms go back on sale and you are not charged.

How do I cancel?

Open your booking page and choose Cancel booking. If you cancel before the hotel's free-cancellation deadline you get a full refund, including the Kashlei fee. After the deadline, or for a non-refundable hotel, no refund is issued. The policy is shown on the hotel page and on your booking.

Your booking is guaranteed

Once you have paid and have a confirmation number, the hotel cannot cancel. It must honour your booking at the room type and price you booked. If it can't, it must give you an equal or better room at no extra cost, or comparable nearby accommodation at its expense. If it still doesn't honour your stay, you are refunded in full.
